Just a quickie, an excuse to use the newly acquired “Judicial 10” Type A daisy wheel, one of the only typefaces I didn’t already own. Plus, much like the Ultrasonic I, its case had a handle that needed to be replaced. About eight feet of paracord solved that. So the two cases have matching handles now.
Since it was out to replace the handle, I used it to type up my response to the typing prompt for tomorrow’s Typewriter Club LIVE.
As you can see, both the typewriter and daisy wheel have their quirks. The p and return don’t work consistently, occasionally a character gets double-struck, and the dash brings its neighboring character along for the ride. But this is a typewriter, and as much as we want typewriters to be perfect, they simply aren’t.
Huh. I just noticed it appears to put extra space after typing a capital C. See? But not a lower case c. See?
